99% there…

Sorry for the significant delay in posting. It was a busy past week with a lot of travel so I wasn’t able to post. The appliances came at the end of last week and we got 3 surprises:

1. The range, which was delayed in transit ended up coming Friday rather than Saturday. That meant I saved some money in having to have the installers come out again for another installation.

2. There was a dent in both the fridge and freezer door. The doors have to be replaced.

3. The refrigerator doesn’t work. I mean nothing. No lights, no cooling, nothing. The weird thing is we think there is electricity getting to the unit (part of the display is lit) but the essentials are not powering on. You will see in the picture, that it is going to be a royal pain in the you-know-what to replace it.

Let’s talk about the good stuff:

The fridge/freezer is the Frigidaire all refrigerator all freezer professional series. After having two full refrigerators for the past 4 years, not to mention the need for extra space, we opted for this one. It was a lot more economical than having one of the fancy expensive versions.

The range is the Electrolux Icon 30″ dual range. This guy gave our appliance person the fits. That’s because I changed up the range so many times. Read “the Incredible M” to appreciate what he put up.

We decided on a Kitchenaid dishwasher. And oh my gosh… we ran that thing twice last night and you could hardly hear it running.

The hood is a Zypher “Roma” hood. I was concerned with the 4″ profile, but now that the range is in it looks great. I haven’t had a hood for 4 years so that’s probably why it looked weird to me.

Oh, and by the way, ignore the optimistic last post about only having 4 more days of this. Obviously, I was wrong.
